6. Limitation of Liability
BookwiseCPA's liability to any client for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall be limited to the fees paid by that client for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
7. Payment Terms
Fees for services are set forth in the applicable engagement letter. Invoices are due within 30 days of issuance unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to suspend services on accounts with overdue balances.
8. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with applicable CPA professional standards, including the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. We do not disclose client information except as required by law or with your express consent.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate a professional engagement by providing written notice. Upon termination, you remain responsible for fees for services rendered through the termination date. We will return or transfer your records in accordance with professional standards.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
